Leah is full of life, love and energy, which she pours into every aspect of her life & teaching. Her passion for yoga began in 2004,
during her second pregnancy. She studied with her beautiful teacher, Aiyana Greeley, for three years, during which time Aiyana
encouraged Leah to be an instructor herself. The idea terrified her...but in 2007, Aiyana helped her find the Shambhava School of Yoga,
and Leah completed her 200 hour training, just 3 weeks after we received the news of Aiyana's death. Needless to say, this shocking loss
pushed Leah to leap beyond her fears and begin teaching. She vowed to do her best to try to change people's lives, the way Aiyana had
changed hers and so many others through yoga. Along with studio classes, Leah hosts a unique variety of events, such as Sunrise Yoga
and Breakfast on the Beach, Full Moon Yoga, and Special Occasion Private classes (wedding parties, mother’s blessings, birthdays,
family sessions). She cherishes any chance to make a life event deeper and more meaningful through this beautiful practice.
She remains inspired by attending and teaching local and mainland classes, workshops and festivals & letting her creative juices flow.
She has an inviting way about her that will make you feel comfortable, and get you excited about your practice & your life!
Whether you choose to be challenged in her creative, fluid sequencing in a Vinyasa Flow class...or led to slow down, connect with
your breath and know your body in Beginner's....you will likely laugh, sweat (at least a little), breathe and feel refreshed. Leah encourages
you to be healthy, happy, awake to each precious moment, at peace in your heart, and to send that intention to all beings everywhere.
Creating The Yoga Hut has been an absolute dream come true, and Leah is excited for everything to come in this space.
Aside from teaching yoga classes, she is consistently busy raising two teenage daughters, managing her & her husband's
businesses, constantly coming up with some new project around the house or on their property & small-time catering. She does
it all because she chooses it and loves it, even if it's a little (or a lot) too much sometimes! Despite it all, she makes sure to find a
way to show up to the mat for her own practice, and hope this inspires others to stay committed to theirs.
